The Nordisk Telemark Series is loved for its ideal combination of space, weight, easy handling and a sturdy construction. With the introduction of a 2-door PU version, it is not only suitable for ultralight adventures and long-distance running, it also becomes the obvious choice for hikers, looking for a sturdy and durable shelter that will neither fill up their pack nor cause a pain in the back.

Telemark 2.2 PU has the same construction as the

original and legendary ultra lightweight and price-winning Telemark 2 ULW tent. There are two main differences from the original to this 2.2 PU version. First of all, the delicate “weight-is-everything!”-fabric is replaced by a strong Rip-stop Polyester, which will prove durable and reliable in any condition. Secondly, an extra entrance has been added, to make getting in and out easier. Let’s be honest; it is essentially a night door that prevents you from having to climb over each other at night to get out to pee.

Apart from that, we have maintained all the great features of the classic Nordisk Telemark: it is superbly ventilated, has easily adjustable guy ropes, magnetic ‘quick-snap’ door closure, inner pockets for storage, four sewn inn cornor poles and the possibility to convert the two outer doors into a cooking canopy, using the two extra mini poles and the included extra guy rope.

The story behind the name

The story behind the name: Telemark is a county in south eastern Norway next to the Skagerrak coastline. It is a land covered with mountains, hills, valleys and lakes, hence its original name Bratsberg meaning 'steep mountain'. Telemark offers a wide variety of national parks, picturesque fjells and plenty of possibilities for trekking in the summer and skiing in the winter.
